Get to know David Brown

David epitomizes the phrase “professional, caring and devoted Realtor”.

Originally from Bangor, Maine, David attended Furman University in Greenville South Carolina and followed an early passion to become a pro golfer and earn a PGA degree. In 1986, David’s father-in-law, who owned a real estate office, asked David to join him…and it was not long before David became one of the top agents in the area. He also was elected and served as the Realtor Board President in 1995-1996.

Gulfshore Life Magazine recognized David with the prestigious “Five Star Agent Customer Service Award” given only to the top 7% of agents chosen from an extensive poll conducted with recent buyers and sellers. Additionally, David has received multiple Downing-Frye’s “Platinum Award”, as one of the companies top agents.

David and Erin Brown were high school sweethearts…and have now been married 32 years with two beautiful daughters aged 26 and 22. Early on, Erin pursued a hugely successful career in pharmaceuticals, eventually becoming #1 in sales nationwide…while David made his mark in real estate.

As fate would have it in 1986, a huge ice storm struck the northeast. The bitter cold numbed the entire area, and it was during this time that an old friend called to see how they were doing. The friend had moved to Naples, Florida, and invited David and Erin to take a break from the cold weather and come visit.

Immediately struck by the beauty, the people, the weather and the opportunity that Naples offered, David and Erin (not surprisingly) wound up moving to Naples later that year, where they’ve lived full time since, raising their family enjoying their two dogs, and loving all that Naples has to offer.

Erin has been a licensed real estate agent since 1986, but spent the majority of her career working in pharmaceutical sales and management. Erin currently works for Novartis and her license in inactive. However, David is grateful that Erin is there to offer timely “better half” support, and share sales advise when needed.

Today, David and Erin continue to focus their lives around family, friends and community.

Love spending time with family, golfing, tennis, beach, taking evening walks in the winter with shorts and not shoveling snow!
